Steven Buckner is President of Newman Crane & Associates Insurance. Steve was hired by the agency in July 1984 as a Commercial Lines Producer. After spending 17 years building a book of business through cold calling, networking and referrals, Steve purchased shares of the agency to become a minority owner in 2001 upon Mr. Newman’s retirement. Steve and his wife are sole owners of the agency, after purchasing Mr. Crane’s ownership in the agency. Steve served as board member of the Central Florida Independent Agent Association for three years prior to becoming President for the 2005-2005 term. Prior to becoming President, Steve spearheaded the Invest program in Central Florida, introducing the program to several area high schools.

Bonnie Cannioto, our Personal Lines Assistant for Last names A-K, joined Newman Crane & Associates 25 years ago. She began her career with us in our Personal Lines department in 1986 writing personal auto, homeowners, umbrella, watercraft, flood, recreational vehicle, and hard-to-place risks, among other key coverages. In 2005, Bonnie made the move to our Benefits department assisting the life and group health agents. Since 2007 she has served as Account Manager writing group health, individual health, and life insurance policies for businesses and individuals, and continually looks forward to assisting current and new clients with their health and life insurance needs.

Bonnie currently holds both a Life and Health license and Property/Casualty license.

Jennifer Kesterson, our Personal Lines Assistant for last names L-Z, has been working with Newman Crane since 2003. Jennifer started as the office receptionist and served in that capacity until 2004. Transitioning to a service position her skills have been utilized by the Commercial and Personal Lines Departments.

Jennifer works with many clients to deliver certificates of insurance in a timely manner to assure that all parties can operate in obtaining bids and completing daily activities. Her duties are often very diverse and can include working with potential and existing clients in obtaining personal insurance as well. Customers often appreciate her willing spirit and she looks forward to serving the clients of the agency.

Carolyn Marcus has been with Newman Crane & Associates since 1985. After a brief time in our Personal Lines department, Carolyn moved to Commercial Lines where clients have benefited from her outstanding, responsive customer service. She has been instrumental in helping keep our business clients happy year after year.

Carolyn currently holds a 2-20 license and has earned a Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation.

Karen Walesh has been working with Newman Crane & Associates since 1993. She started at the agency as a receptionist and worked in several different departments including Marketing and Personal Lines before settling into her current position of Commercial Lines Account Manager.

During the 14 years that Karen has worked in the Commercial Lines Department, she has continued to further her education, obtaining her AAI and AIAM designations. She is currently participating in the CSR Mastery Program and also attends several continuing education classes each year.

Karen is also committed to helping the agency give back to the communities we serve. She helped organize a holiday charity function in which Newman Crane participates for a local community outreach program.

Lisa Wilmoth, our part-time Commercial Lines Account Representative, has been working with Newman Crane for 26 years. She began with us as a receptionist in 1985, and was promoted to a Personal Lines Account Representative three years later. In 1992, Lisa received her Agent License in Property and Casualty Insurance and has been working in the Commercial Lines department since then.

Lisa was born and raised in Orlando, Florida where she resides with her husband of 23 years and two children ages 19 and 16. She and her family attend Fellowship Orlando Church where they are actively involved in the ministry. Lisa enjoys boating, camping, biking, and vacationing at the beach with her family and friends.
